There was a healthy RAF presence above and on the ground at the recent Hull v Castleford Super League rugby clash. Fans at the KCOM stadium and viewers on Sky Sports saw members of the Service's mountaineering association abseil from the roof to deliver the match ball.
Fg Off Josh Smullen made the descent for the match that saw Castleford win 28-8, supported by Fg Off David Hood. Josh said "It was a huge privilege to abseil the match ball in for the game, commemorating 100 years of the RAF and Hull's support for the Armed Forces."
